Gawne came through the youth set-up at Coleraine and made 10 first team appearances for the Bannsiders during the first half of last season, scoring 3 goals.
The 19 year-old striker then joined the 'Gers on loan at the end of the January Transfer Window and made 5 appearances for the Club, impressing the Amber Army in the process. Gawne will now re-join the Club on loan for the duration of the 2020/21 season.
Delighted to see the young striker re-joining, Niall Currie said:
"We're delighted to have Alexander on board. He was part of the deal that saw Nixon go to Coleraine and simply put, the deal wouldn't have happened without that. We have him for the full season ahead so that's exciting as he's another young player in our squad with great potential."
Equally pleased to be spending the season at Carrick, Alexander Gawne added:
"I’m delighted to be back again after a good spell last season. I’m looking forward to hitting the ground running and helping the team push on for another good season."
Welcome back to Carrick Rangers, Alexander! #AmberArmy
