Colligan, 30, will be a familiar face to the ‘Gers faithful having played just over a dozen matches for the Club in the second half of the 2012/13 season before taking a break from football.
An experienced player at the top level having previously been at both Ballymena United and Coleraine, Colligan will strengthen Niall Currie’s options in the left wing-back role and will be available for selection in Saturday’s Danske Bank Premiership meeting with Cliftonville.
Pleased to confirm the signature of the local lad, Niall Currie said,
“Lee just fell into our lap in truth; a chance meeting in a gym led to him coming to train with us which he has loved. He will need a few games under his belt but he has looked very exciting in training and the fact that he showed he wanted to come to us made all the difference.
His pedigree is outstanding and was once rated as one of the top players in his position in the country. As such, we want to get him back to that same level and if that happens, we have found a gem of a player.”
Welcome back to Carrick Rangers, Lee! #AmberArmy
