U19's Defeat Donegal Celtic
The Colts opening game of the season was played at Suffolk Road with Darren Watters side hoping to continue on the way they played last season.

Both teams played a cagey game in the first half DC being restricted to long range shots which never troubled Fulton in goal.
Ten minutes before half time the colts applied pressure to the opponents defence with several penetrating attacks from Mc Cauley,  McIlfatrick and Wade.
The Celtic players were relieved to hear the half time whistle as the colts began to take control. Half Time 0-0.
Carrick took the lead within ten minutes of the second period when a Kelso free kick from deep right could not be held by the DC keeper  only to be pushed onto the bar were Magill despatched a volley from 10 yards out into the bottom left hand corner of goal.  0-1 Carrick .
Carrick’s second goal came in the 75th minute, a Williamson throw in chested on by Neil into the path of Thompson seen him run up the left wing past a defender and cut into the box with support waiting there for him he continued towards goal slotting the ball home to the bottom left. 0-2 Carrick.
DC came back into the game in the 80th min when a poorly defended corner kick seen the hoops No.11 head in at the near post. 1-2 Carrick.
This gave DC hope and several attacking opportunities had to be well defended by the colts defence which only increased the rising frustration Celtic were feeling. It spilled over with 3mins to go when the DC No.9 was sent off. The penetrating runs continued from the colts with Macauley sprinting up the right wing and crossing for Wade whose shot was well saved by the keeper. With less than a  minute to go Neil picked up the ball looked up at goal and dispatched a screamer of a shot from 35yards straight into the top left corner giving DCs keeper absolutely no chance.
Final score: DC 1-3 Carrick Rangers
