A week has passed since Niall Currie’s men came away from the Limavady Showgrounds with nothing to show for their efforts despite having held the lead at the break.
The East Antrim side will be looking to bounce back tonight but will face a very tough test in the form of their Castlederg opponents. Peter Allen’s team are on a four-game winning run, beating HW Welders, Ballinamallard United and Knockbreda in league action as well as causing an upset in the League Cup when they went to Mourneview Park and picked up a 1-0 win.
These two sides met last season in League Cup action at the Loughshore Hotel Arena when goals from Andrew Mooney and Martin Maybin (2) secured the win for the ‘Gers.
In the last five meetings between these sides, there has been three wins for Carrick, one win for Dergview and one draw, with an average of 3 goals per game!
Both Lloyd Anderson and Lee Chapman could make their first appearances of the campaign tonight, having signed last week before the closure of the transfer window.
This evening’s referee will be Mark Dillon, assisted by Neill Gillespie and Lee McCahon.
Supporters should also note that this evening’s game will kick-off at the slightly later time of 8:00PM, with admission prices set at £8 for adults and £5 for concessions.
Get yourself down to Taylors Avenue tonight and make sure to give the lads your backing right from the start! #AmberArmy
