The attacking midfielder came up through the ranks at Linfield before he moved across the water to join West Bromwich Albion at the age of 16.
Spending four years at the Baggies, the former Northern Ireland Under 19 international then linked up with Luton Town during the 2020/21 campaign before he rounded off his time in England with a short spell at Hednesford Town.
Following his return to Northern Ireland, ‘Gers boss Stuart King has fought off interest from rival sides to add the 21-year-old to his squad.
Due to the need for international clearance, it is unlikely that Rangers fans will see Chambers in action against Ballyclare Comrades tomorrow afternoon.
Happy to be joining Carrick Rangers, Jack Chambers said,
“I am delighted to join, having spoken to Stuart I was excited about his plans and I know coming here I will get a chance to play, to do so in the Premiership is very exciting for me so I’m looking forward to helping the team progress throughout the remainder of the season.”
On strengthening his midfield options, Stuart King commented,
“Jack comes to us with a good pedigree, having come through Linfield’s youth set-up before he went across the water at a young age. I have targeted him since he came home; he’s a creative midfielder, left footed, has great technique and has impressed when he has trained with us.
He knows coming in here he will get an opportunity to play and make a name for himself so I’m delighted to have him on board.”
Welcome to the Club, Jack!
