The 32-year-old, who has made over 200 appearances for the Bannsiders since joining in 2015, arrives at the ‘Gers until the end of the season.
He is Rangers’ third recruit of the January transfer window following the additions of Jamal Dupree and Nedas Maciulaitis.
Pleased to confirm his deadline day business, Stuart King commented,
“James is a big signing for the Club, he’s an established Premiership player who wants to do well for us between now and the end of the season. He adds competition to our other forward players and is a signing we have had to be patient on to get over the line.
“I would like to thank my Board who have really backed me and shown faith in my staff and I to give us players who will help continue our progress. James will really add something to us and it further highlights the quality of player we can attract to our Club.”
Welcome to Carrick, James!
