The 21-year-old centre back becomes the Club’s third arrival from Wexford, following the announcements of Ethan Boyle and Reece Webb.
O’Malley made 25 appearance for the League of Ireland side in the 2024 season, scoring 3 goals.
On joining Carrick Rangers, Cian O’Malley commented,
“I came up and had a chat with Stephen and heard very positive things about the plans for the Club, how I'd fit in with the squad. It was really promising and I'm looking forward to getting going.
“I’d like to make an impact on the team and hopefully pick up as many points as we can and go on to finish the season well.”
Manager Stephen Baxter added,
“I am thrilled and delighted to welcome Cian O’Malley to Carrick Rangers. Cian has had an exceptional youth career at St. Patrick’s Athletic and played over 40 games at centre half for Wexford FC in his breakthrough season.
At 21 years old, he has such a bright future ahead of him and we are excited that he has chosen to develop his career further with the Amber Army. ”
Welcome to Carrick Rangers, Cian!
