The 22-year-old Englishman joins the ‘Gers having left Scottish Championship side Ayr United in January.
McIntyre, born in Manchester, came through the youth systems at Manchester City and Everton before signing for Sunderland. McIntyre is no stranger to the NIFL Premiership having signed for Larne in 2022, going on to make 5 appearances before returning to England and then on to Ayr United at the start of the 2024/25 Season.
Manager Stephen Baxter was pleased to add to his goalkeeper options, saying,
“I am delighted to announce the signing of Jack McIntyre. He’s a superb young player who’s no stranger to the Irish league having had a spell with Larne and he knows the style of football in this country. Jack adds more strength to our goalkeeping department for this crucial period and I am very grateful to everyone who made this move possible.
I'm sure you will join me in wishing Jack every success in his time with the Amber Army.”
Welcome to Carrick Rangers, Jack!
