The 34-year-old forward will join the ‘Gers following the expiration of his contract with Crusaders.
Lecky made 162 appearances for the North Belfast side, scoring 34 goals since joining the Club in 2019 where he won an Irish Cup under current ‘Gers manager Stephen Baxter.
Prior to his successful spell at Seaview, the target man had spells at Fermanagh sides Dergview and Ballinamallard United.
He then spent 18 months in Australia before returning home in 2018 to join Ballymena United where he made 68 appearances for the Braidmen scoring 21 goals.
On joining Carrick Rangers, Adam Lecky commented,
“I'm looking forward to it being a fresh start and getting going during pre-season. I look at the squad here and it was probably a disappointing season last year, but there's a lot of quality in the squad. I don't see why we can't push up to get sixth or seventh spot as well as targeting the cups.
I’ve worked with Stephen in the past and we've enjoyed a bit of success together. That was a big draw, and then speaking to Peter Clarke, the chairman, there just seemed to be real enthusiasm at the Club, you want to join an ambitious club..”
Manager Stephen Baxter added,
“I am delighted to announce the arrival of Adam Leckey to Taylors Avenue.
Adam is a player who I know well and his decision to join us after many options elsewhere is a huge boost to everyone at Carrick Rangers.
Adam brings strength, power, leadership and goals and we are all excited and looking forward to seeing him play for the Club soon.”
Welcome to Carrick Rangers, Adam!
