Carrick Rangers is delighted to announce that Paul Heatley has signed a new one-year deal.
The forward re-joined the ‘Gers at the start of 2024/25 season following a 12-year tenure at Crusaders, hoping to add to the impact he made in his first stint at the Club which was recognised in 2014 with his inclusion in the Greatest Ever Carrick Rangers XI.
He made 34 appearances for the ‘Gers last season, scoring 13 goals, helping the ‘Gers secure their Premiership status with 4 goals in the Promotion/Relegation Playoffs against Annagh United.
Pleased to have penned the extension to his deal, Paul Heatley said,
“To be asked by the Club to give another year was incredibly flattering. Carrick are an incredible club, full of fantastic people so it was an easy answer. I'm excited about what the future holds for the Club and if they feel I am able to help next season then of course I will happily offer all I have to offer.
I loved every minute of last season despite the struggles in the league and it's great to see new additions to the squad.
The Club has made me feel so welcome and almost part of the family so I will give everything I've got for one more season to help the Club, players and supporters achieve our goals.”
Happy to confirm the news of Heatley’s extension, Stephen Baxter added,
“I am delighted to announce that Paul Heatley has agreed a new one-year deal with the Club.
Two brilliant performances in the playoffs showed the real class of an outstanding player and we are all thrilled that we get to see him do it all over again in the new season.
A true superstar of the local game and he plays in Amber and Black.”
Look forward to seeing you in Amber for another year, Heats!
