The forward, whose three-year spell with Carrick Rangers ends this summer, calls time on a successful career having netted over 200 goals in over 550 appearances across the Irish League.
Allen arrived in May 2022 from Coleraine, wearing the number 10 shirt on 73 occasions for the ‘Gers. He would find the net on his debut in August 2022, a 2-1 victory over Newry City and would go on to score 22 goals in total for Carrick with his trademark fox in the box finishing ability.
Allen would go on to step in to the managers hot seat on an interim basis, along with Mark Surgenor as the Club looked for a new manager in the 2024/25 season, and would go on to record a win at the first attempt, a 2-0 victory over Cliftonville to break a run of 10 consecutive defeats.
Allen then moved into a player/coach role following the appointment of Stephen Baxter in October 2024.
Everyone at Carrick Rangers thanks Curtis for his effort and commitment throughout the last three years and congratulates him on a successful football career.
Enjoy your retirement, Curtis.
