Carrick take on Cliftonville

Ninth-placed Carrick Rangers host tenth-placed Cliftonville on Saturday.

Both sides last met just over a month ago, also at Taylors Avenue, with Cliftonville earning all three points thanks to goals from Rory Hale and Jack Keaney, Paul Heatley grabbed a late goal back, but the 'Gers were unable to find the equaliser despite numerous second-half chances.

The Reds arrive at Taylors Avenue on Saturday having knocked Linfield out of the Co. Antrim Shield on Tuesday night, with a convincing 4-1 win, with Rory Hale, Keevan Hawthorne, Ryan Curran and Thomas Lavery on the scoresheet.

For Carrick Rangers, it was a midweek off, having played their Co. Antrim Shield quarter-final last Tuesday. Stephen Baxter will be hoping his men can bounce back from a disappointing display away at Mourneview Park last Saturday, losing out 1-0 to Glenavon.

There are no new injury concerns for ‘Gers boss Baxter, however Ethan Boyle, Nedas Maciulaitis (both knee), Reece Glendinning (hand) and Cameron Stewart are all unavailable. Both Adam Lecky and Seanan Clucas are nearing returns to First Team action.

Carrick Rangers will wear an alternate kit on Saturday, with a splash of pink in aid of Breast Cancer Research Foundation. For more information on the fundraising effort, click here.

Your support, as always, would be greatly appreciated and below, you can find information for ticketing arrangements.
