Carrick host Crues

Seventh-placed Carrick Rangers host eleventh-placed Crusaders on Saturday.

After a seven goal thriller on the opening day of the season at Seaview, Carrick Rangers and Crusaders meet again on Saturday, this time at Taylors Avenue. Back in August the Crues raced into a three goal lead thanks to Fraser Bryden, Adam Brooks and Finley Thorndike. Jack Scott pulled a goal back for the 'Gers before Danny Gibson poked home to make it 3-2 at half-time. Gibson then raced through after the restart to slot home the equaliser and in stoppage time, Scott again scored from the spot to finish an incredible comeback win for Rangers.

Crusaders were in action on Tuesday evening in the League Cup, losing out 2-1 to Glentoran at The Oval, a late consolation goal coming from Kurtis Forsythe. Declan Caddell's men will be hoping to end a losing run of 4 games in all competitions on Saturday.

For the 'Gers, a late winner on Halloween night from Danny Gibson meant Carrick left Clandeboye Park with all three points. It was a much needed win for Stephen Baxter's men after a run of good performances in the league but with no points to show for them.

Adam Lecky and Seanan Clucas both returned to the match-day squad last Friday evening, with Lecky coming off the bench to impact the final result. Ethan Boyle, Nedas Maciulaitis (both knee), Reece Glendinning (hand) and Cameron Stewart all remain unavailable.
