Friday Night at The Oval

Carrick Rangers travel to take on Glentoran on Friday evening with both sides hoping to return to winning ways.

Both sides were on the wrong side of results last Saturday against teams lower than them in the league table. For Carrick, it was a 2-1 defeat to Crusaders with goals from Fraser Bryden and Ross Clarke, the 'Gers did pull one back late on through Paul Heatley.

For Friday's hosts, they lost out 3-1 to Glenavon at Mourneview Park, Ryan Cooney scoring for the Glens after McDaid (x2) and McGovern netted for Glenavon.

Friday's fixture is exactly one month on from when the sides last met, then at Taylors Avenue in the County Antrim Shield. The 'Gers winning on penalties on the night. It was August when Rangers last visited The Oval, Paul Heatley scoring before Jordan Stewart levelled just before half-time.

Stephen Baxter remains without the services of Ethan Boyle, Nedas Maciulaitis (both knee), Reece Glendinning (hand) and Cameron Stewart. Kyle Cherry is also unavailable following his red card against Crusaders last Saturday.

Your support, as always, would be greatly appreciated and below, you can find information for ticketing and travel arrangements.
