Carrick Rangers return to the Coleraine Showgrounds ten weeks on from their last visit. That day Rangers lost out 2-1 having taken the lead through Ryan Waide. Zane Okoro levelled for the Bannsiders just before half-time before Joel Cooper netted the winner on the hour mark. Despite a period of late pressure, Carrick were unable to find the leveller to give them a point the performance arguably deserved.
The Bannsiders were in action on Tuesday evening, defeating Moyola Park 2-0 to progress to the final four of the League Cup. Youngster Alex Watson and Will Patching with the goals. That result makes it back-to-back wins for Coleraine having picked up only 1 point from their previous three league fixtures.
For Carrick, after positive display at Windsor Park last Saturday that resulted in no reward, Stephen Baxter's men will be aiming to strike the balance between quality of performance and getting a result to send the Amber Army home happy.
The playing panel remains without Ethan Boyle, Nedas Maciulaitis (both knee), and Cameron Stewart for Saturday's fixture. Loanee Jack Scott is also ineligible to play against his parent club.
