Saturday Evening at Shamrock Park

Carrick Rangers face Portadown on Saturday evening, with 8th place in the league table up for grabs.

Stephen Baxter's men will be aiming to extend a recent run of positive results, most recently recording a resounding 5-1 win over Dungannon Swifts last Saturday, thanks to a hat-trick from Adam Lecky along with goals from Joe Crowe and Paul Heatley.

Meanwhile, the Ports last league outing was back on January 17, losing out 1-0 to Bangor. Their fixture last Saturday at the Ballymena Showgrounds was postponed due a waterlogged pitch.

The sides have met twice already this season, both times at Taylors Avenue, with one win apiece. The 'Gers last visited Shamrock Park back in March 2025, a Joshua Ukek strike in the closing minutes sealing the three points for the Ports.

Ethan Boyle (knee) Nedas Maciulaitis (knee), Cameron Stewart, Seanan Clucas (knee) and Nathan Gartside (quadricep) remain on the sidelines. Ryan Waide continues his rehab from a back injury. Kyle Cherry returned to the bench last Saturday after a number of weeks out, Matthew Olosunde could return to the squad having been ill.

Your support, as always, would be greatly appreciated and below, you can find information for ticketing arrangements.
