One More Time

Carrick Rangers is delighted to announce that Paul Heatley has signed a new one-year deal.

The forward re-joined the ‘Gers at the start of 2024/25 season following a 12-year tenure at Crusaders, hoping to add to the impact he made in his first stint at the Club which was recognised in 2014 with his inclusion in the Greatest Ever Carrick Rangers XI.

Heatley has added 65 appearances to his ‘Gers tally across the last two seasons, scoring 13 goals in each season, and helped the ‘Gers secure their first senior silverware in 33 years, with the County Antrim Shield win back in January.

Pleased to have penned the extension to his deal, Paul Heatley said,

“I'm delighted to be at Carrick for another year. To be offered another year in its own right is an absolute privilege. The Club felt I had another year in me and physically I am feeling good.

Last year was such a fantastic year, a real joy to be part of and I'm really looking forward to trying my best to help the team to greater success this year.

Peter Clarke and Michael Smith are doing fantastic work behind the scenes and Stephen Baxter has been outstanding, along with the coaching staff and players, so it's exciting times and I'm delighted to be around for the next season.”

Happy to confirm the news of Heatley’s extension, Stephen Baxter added,

“I am delighted to announce that Club Legend Paul Heatley has agreed to stay on for another season.

Paul’s performances last year were incredible to watch and thankfully we get to see him do it all over again.

Paul’s appetite for the game is an inspiration to us all and I know the new kit will look great on him.”

Look forward to seeing you in Amber for another year, Heats!
