Matthew replaces Jody Hill as head of our development squad and brings extensive experience from elite academy setups and international football.
With a comprehensive background in high-performance environments, player development, and performance analysis, his previous roles include working with Manchester City’s Academy, the Northern Ireland U17s and senior men’s teams, and the Welsh FA’s senior and U16 squads.
Additionally, he served as first-team coach for Larne’s senior men’s team and, most recently, held the position of manager for Larne Women.
Matthew will oversee his first game as manager tonight as Carrick Rangers U20s travel to the Limavady Showgrounds in their first game of the NIFL Premiership Development League season.
