The right-back who joined the ‘Gers from Finn Harps in January 2026, has made 22 starts in the 8 months since joining. Place’s only goal came in a 1-1 draw at home to Coleraine in February.
Place would also be part of the starting XI that helped the ‘Gers lift their first senior trophy in 33 years, in what was only his fourth appearance for the Club at the time.
Happy to have penned the extension, Mikey Place said,
“I’m absolutely delighted to extend my contract with Carrick Rangers. I’ve settled in really well since joining the Club and have really enjoyed my time here.
I’m looking forward to giving everything for the team and the supporters, and hopefully achieving something special together in my time here.”
Manager Stephen Baxter added,
“I am delighted to announce that Mikey Place has signed an extension on his current contract until Summer 2029.
Mikey has had an outstanding run of performances since arriving at the Club and we are really pleased that he has committed his future to Carrick Rangers.”
